Wrexham apparently want James Norwood…

…not sure what to make of this? I don’t really want to see him leave but the club may think there’re getting a fee for a 32 year old that was a freebie last year.

 

I'd much rather keep him, but it's not the end of the world if he goes and I reckon they'd pay him more and shell out for a fee. Depends whether he fancies it, I guess!

We need to do all we can to keep him. He is worth more to the team than any fee could or would cover, he is the experienced head that the players look up to.

 

Agree, the youngsters said straight away how helpful Norwood had been, and that's before his form improved for us. His experience in this squad is invaluable, unless it's a very silly offer for him I really hope we keep him. Although if it is Nixon reporting it I'd be surprised if it's true. He gots hell of a lot more wrong than he does right.

 

He's a pie muncher who takes half the season burning off the excess flab. Sell if we can bring in someone else.

I can see them being interested, and to be fair, they'll probably pay him more than we're prepared to. I just can't see it happening.

 

If it's true, I'm half & half. I agree they probably will offer him more money (and playing time) and so would he take that due to his age? Or will he try get promotion with us and hope he gets a new contract and play in the championship for the first time in his career?

Either way I think he's vitally important, even when he isn't on the pitch. I'd be bitterly disappointed but I would understand it from his point of view.

 

If he goes we should go for Billy sharp to replace him for a season.

 

I really doubt he'd come here, although I'd welcome him if Norwood leaves. Nowhere near as quick as Norwood though so would have to play a different role, and I'm not sure he'd fit in with our style. But experience & match winning goals he will definitely bring. Apparently, he's signing for Rotherham though - not sure if true mate.

Yeah I think your right his legs have probably gone now.. Norwood may want out as we have 4 strikers who all will want game time even dallas hasn't come to get splinters drop a league and he will be a regular. We will see.
