No, not like Duff. That was my point. Nothing surprises me, but Micky is more upset than others, clearly.. Duff is last season, I’m more interested in the new fella & the new players..
. I got over it pretty quick too. It really ain’t worth dwelling on. Things change fast at Barnsley. It’s just how it is..
The best all round manager in the last 25 years IMHO & won't surprise me to see him in the Prem pretty soon.
He would have achieved something, had he stayed, as I was convinced we’d be winning our first league title since 1955 with Duff in charge.
I think to say he achieved something with us would be gaining promotion.Just fell short, possibly due to not starting an experienced Norwood who'd scared the **** out of our rivals previously. I'm sure he'll do OK at Swansea, think he may well fall short of getting to the play off places which may not be seen as an achievement by their fans.
Can I trump that with Roath in Cardiff for 2 years, bit of a studenty dive but amazing nightlife even 30odd years ago. My choice in Wales would be West Coast, Pembrokeshire, Fishguard to Manorbier, stop just before Tenby! Marloes on a hot day is genuinely up there with any beach in the world.
To be honest I can only think of 4 managers in the history of our club that have got us to Wembley & Duff is one of them & considering the hand he was dealt it was indeed a great achievement, incidentally after the way he has since let us down I have no time for him but I give credit where credit is due & last season he achieved a minor miracle
What’s your list? Without checking, I got something like Basset, Davey, Johnson, Heckingbottom (twice inc Spurs!) & Duff, honourable mention for Ritchie of were talking about level rather than location!
Exactly. Micky Long Haul left us in the league he found us in, devalued our own keeper, and was another head coach that failed to give our academy lads much of a chance.
