Lost last 2 Friendlies, will he turn Swansea into a League 1 side, could be big val all over again. Taking a Job to big #££££££££.
There’s a vocal group on Twitter want him out but most seem to think board need to back with signings. Strange though that he’s complaining about too many youngsters in squad. You would have thought the reason he was hired was because he was willing and able to work with a young team
Not that I'm particularly bothered after he left us in the lurch but how can fans want a manager out before he's even overseen a competitive game? Bonkers.....
During last season I was talking to a couple of the U18 team in the Metrodome following an afternoon swim, I won’t name them, but when I asked one of them if he thought he might feature more in first team, he said he doubted it as ‘Duff wasn’t too keen on playing the Academy lads’
I really wouldn't imagine the vast majority of Swans fan's want him out at this point. It's just a few keyboard warriors trying to stir up trouble.
True. once he's played the first 5 games yll get a feel of their mood...but if it's a poor start he may be under pressure.. ..think they're a bit Wednesday and expect big things.
Tbf to Val he was sacked when West Brom were in the play off places. Didn't manage that after he left.
Someone called for Collins' head on here at the weekend whilst we were 3-1 down, in a friendly, with Blackburn.
Got a couple of mates who are ex Birmingham players and they both said he was sacked cos he upset too many people in the club, players, staff etc not the results.
I wouldn't f c uk with him. I'm not surprised they went behind his back and cried to the Chairman to get rid of him.
if they get off to a poor start the pressure will start very quickly. I don't think they will though. I think he'll do well
Duff has made a huge mistake. Swansea fans regard themselves as playing cultured football rather than “Duff’s hoofball”. They are never going to be happy with him. Whatever went on with Val in the background there was still a growing groundswell of opinion unhappy with his style of play and there were few tears shed when he was sacked. Looking at his recent Swans videos Duff’s body language shows him to be under a heap of stress already.
I think he’s a great manager and will go on to have a great career. Not convinced this is a good move for him though. The shift in style of play will be too much I reckon , plus the expectation level is too great compared to their resources
