Interesting to see a number of other League One teams only released their kits after 21st of July. Blackpool, Reading, Wigan…

Just because some other clubs are just as rubbish as us, doesn't mean we should excuse ourselves. When you expect people to pay 50 quid for your Vietnam made cheap shirt, you should make sure they have as much of the warm period of the year to show it off before it's hidden under a jumper and coat, so they get the best value of money possible from their purchase.

Bizarre. Do you only wear a football shirt for the season it’s the actual kit? Surely BarnsleyFC aren’t to blame if the issue is across different clubs and kit manufacturers?

It's Khaled. He's so slow with the sewing machine. Get him out.

The season only starts in August. That gives about a month to safely wear it without a coat. That's four Saturdays. Because, let's be honest, anyone over the age of 20 shouldn't be wearing a football shirt outside the house to anything other than a footy game.

There's loads of men and women over 20 go out with football shirts on,it doesn't sit right with me but it's their choice. Why would anyone want to go out for a meal wearing football shirts - unless it's straight after a match.

I’m 41, I wear football shirts BFC, England and others all the time. I’ve got a Warbury Wanderers/warriors whatever shirt I won in a competition in 2002 that occasionally gets an airing. And an England shirt from the 2003 works cup. Just can’t see why you would spend £50 on a shirt and then wear it for one year.

I thought there was another competition I'd never heard of for a second or that it was a cricket thing maybe

Agreed, but i’d make an amendment that wearing it for the gym is acceptable. Purely because i do that occasionally when it’s late in the week and we’re behind on the washing!

Nobody is saying you should only wear it for one year. Just that wearing it to go to a meal or out for a day trip somewhere or anything like that is a bit weird.

So I’m guessing wearing the full kit when going out for a meal is a big no no then?

Only if you've got your football boots on, otherwise go for it! :):)
