Not necessarily at league one level but yes, someone like Norwood who has been around and can offer calming reassurance on the pitch and can teach our youngsters off it.
It's just, we've got someone like that already, and barring injury/suspension, he'll be in that back 3 all season. If the opportunity has arisen for us to sign a promising player from overseas, I can't see it being anything other than a good thing. Everything I've seen (albeit only from the Internet) of Strauss, says to me that he'll be a good acquisition. Despite his age, we already have a vastly experienced, leader of men in Kitching. If anything, adding another might hamper his development.
I think to say Kitching is a vastly experienced leader of men is abit of a stretch. We definitely need one more and I think what would harm his development is giving him the captaincy full time.
Aye, I over egged that one a bit. But I don't think we're as desperate for an experienced centre half as most say. One more decent player in there for sure though.
