For once in my lifetime, I'd love to see us win a divisional title. I'd love it to be this season after a Summer of intense negativity from a part of the fan base.

That was under two terrible managers a league above. I'm not questioning your memory, but he is a very good player at this level & has a price tag for a reason.

Someone remind me how we did in Schopp's pre season games?

Great write up and tend to agree with you.

These were my thoughts before last season and I feel the sentiment and prediction are still relevant for this season.

"I think we'll sneak the play offs with a couple of games to spare.

I believe the club has turned the corner and is now on a upwards trajectory after the misery of last season. It's not going to be plain sailing but I do feel the club have recruited well and will continue to do so moving forward. Duff is a coach on the rise and I'm sure he'll get a tune out the squad which will surprise us. We'll probably have a sluggish start but once the squad is settled after the transfer window then I expect us to kick on. We'll see a team that is more resilient than last season and that in turn will be appreciated by us with improved support. Finally, I think our set pieces will improve and will add another dimension to our goal threat.

    You Reds!"

The Guardian have us as "playoff hopefuls" and call out Lopata as one of the youngsters to watch...

Cole to reach 15 goals again. He's found his level in League One. Before last season his best were at Fleetwood and Motherwell where he scored at around 1 in 3 games. I expect the same this year.

Watters to reach 20. His finishing is underrated. Four goals from 16 shots last year, he's probably first choice and will start most games. I also reckon Jalo will get the chance to play a few games - I'll be conservative and say 5 for him, but I wouldn't be surprised with 8.

Cadden to reach double figures for assists.

Styles will be here until January at least. If he was going I think it would have happened already. I don't think the market is there for him, so he'll be here and a big upgrade to the squad.

16 clean sheets. The defence is worse but there is a lack of quality in this league.

Top eight minimum but I expect playoffs.

Outside of us I think Oxford will have a decent season, but I'm not particularly fearful of anyone in this league.
