    If we didn't play Phillips because he's banned for first 3 matches why would we play Norwood every pre season game if he was going? Much rather have had Watters, Dallas, Cole, Shaw, Marsh etc getting minutes .

    I cannot wrap my head around the logic of this transfer whatsoever. I’d seen it ages ago and assumed it to be rubbish. That picture of course all but confirms I was wrong.

    In what possible way do Barnsley FC benefit here?

    Its a strange one alright unless something has gone off behind the scenes disciplinary wise or his contract got extended due to the number or games he played last season and we actually wanted rid for some reason?

    How the heck have Oldham pulled this off??

    - transfer fee must have been sizeable but they're skint in national League.

    - can't see him taking a pay cut when he was under contract here for 12months.

    - must be a multi year deal??

    Am I missing something, how have Oldham got the money for this?

    Got to say this is proper lovely personp if true, appreciate his age and long term needs replacing, but hes vital now, we better have something decent lined up ffs

    Only way I could imagine that is if nobody wanted to buy him and he wasn't in our plans..

    Wrexham supposedly also after him and pre season suggests he was in our plans.

    Unless Collins all of a sudden fancies ALI as number 9 then I am perplexed.
