Been brill, we even got a wave from Collins! Dream start to the season! We are top of the league, say we are top of the league!
Shaw and Shepherd lookibg contenders for a start next match. We can moan about the ref handing daft cards out. Plus no goals since 64 mins pfffft.
Don’t think anyone can deny we were second best for the most of the first half but once the game became more of a football match and not a wrestling match then they couldn’t live with us and some absolute cracking crosses into the box from all 3 wing backs.
Thread Title is the title to my day. Got Grandkids for the weekend wife started been sick 12ish had to stay home to look after the youngest. Did manage to find a stream so not all lost and this will happen every week won't it lol.
Surely we can do summat about this 'Dallas' thing, how about we adopt the nickname Cowboys. Or train with those funny looking motorbike type helmets on. Please though, let's not do the Dallas tv feem toon lol.
I can find a negative for you, a slight one... Perfect basically. One thing is though I would like Roberts to use his voice a bit more twice I remember he had clear passage to handle the ball but Lopata (brilliantly btw) defended both. Happy now, Sam?
Shepherd looked assured too. Roberts had a moment in first half where Cadden left him the ball and the Port Vale player nipped in and he made a cracking save but he grew into the game. Probably a miscommunication.
I'm really keen on this Shepard mate. Big lad, not slow for his size, good positionally, and he has a cracking eye for a pass. What a debut for him, perfect occasion to bring him on and bed him in a little. I'm certainly more optimistic than I was yesterday, I said we'd get promotion in my prediction so I was fairly confident anyway, but seeing Shaw, Cotter, Shepard, Dallas, Lopata, even Chapman - all players I haven't seen or haven't impressed me up to date really changed my mind today, hopefully not just a one off!
Agreed mate. Always looked dangerous going forward but he's had plenty of criticism (including from myself) for his defensive play, not tracking back, losing the ball in bad positions and not hustling for it back, but today I thought he was outstanding in both aspects, he lost the ball a couple of times, which will always happen with him being the type of player he is, but the effort he shown to win the ball back and get back into position really impressed me, big improvement from him today. If he can continue his good defensive development and mix it with how dangerous he is up top, we have another great player on our hands
