in over 50 years supporting the reds. I was driving down to Suffolk the night we beat Huddersfield so can't even claim that one. Well done lads today, I may not see it again !
I was on a train to wakey for a night out so missed the Huddersfield game. My Dad and sister were updating me on the train during the first half. Was gutted at my choices.
I've seen us concede 7 twice and score 7 twice. I'd have loved us to go on and get 8 or 9. It seemed possible today. It was 6 with over half an hour to go and we seemed at one point we were scoring every time we went forward.
I was at Huddersfield for that wonderful day but have since moved to Suffolk so don't get to many games anymore. I still remember that day like it was yesterday so here's hoping it's the same for everyone today. Biggest opening day win by any side in the football league since the sixties. That really is a special achievement.
The most sublime strike I have ever witnessed either live or on telly. Still gives me goosebumps when ever I watch the recording. Adam Hammill’s goal v Millwall at Wembley was spectacular but still a distant second to Darren Barnard’s goal
Haha. I could've worded that better! We actually gave a couple of Huddersfield fans a lift to the match that day. They got the train home at half time.
Me too, Huddersfield was a Friday night, on the Thursday l broke my leg and ankle and was in BDGH for the game so l watched on SKY, I'm currently in Turkey so missed this as well!!
Just put my young one to bed and we were talking about the game, I told him to remember today because 7 goal wins don’t come around often, over 20 years since I last saw one. Hopefully he’s not too young to forget today.
