Kane was absolutely tremendous on Saturday. Brilliant on the ball, but possibly a touch too slow for the Championship. He's from round there so it would be an attractive move for him. I've got no problem with it once Luca is back up and running, as long as we get a decent fee. We paid around a million, so it's got to be in excess of £3 to be worthwhile looking at. Will they pay that?

 

He was pretty much the same on Tuesday.
So other teams will be looking at our key players.

 

Herbie is a good player at L1 level but has had plenty of opportunities to cut it in the Championship and not taken them. I'd be surprised if he ever does to be honest.

If Mads went to the Prem with 12 months to go for £3m, I'm pretty sure Kane leaves now & it'll be <£1m.

If we do lose Kane for that little then we’d be better risking it and letting his contract run down and trying to get him to sign another one if we go up this time. No way can we replace him for that cash in my opinion. Same with Williams as well.

 

Cole too. Gunna need as many points on board as we can before deadline day. I don't think it's coincidence Collins blooding all these young'uns.

 

In which case we might as well run his contract down or at the very least wait until January. Selling now for under a million with Luca out and Styles possibly leaving as well would be madness.

Some of their fans believe they’ve got enough midfielders and are pushing another young lad who’s from their reserves. Hopefully they spent the money on other positions. Said it before and it’s unpopular opinion with how much of a fans favourite Luca Connell is but I believe Kane is our best midfielder.

There’s a few players we could do with shoving contracts in front of (if we haven’t already). Namely Kane, Cadden and Cole off the top of my head.

It’s weird to think how long Kane has been here given it’s only really felt like last season to me. I hope he stays. He may not be the quickest but his touch and passing is right up there with anything in this division. His assist for Kitching’s goal last Saturday is evidence of this.
