-the recruitment this summer has been shambolic -the manager has no experience -why do we accept that every season is reset -what’s going on with Oakwell -what’s going on with the ‘big news’ -why is the club shop derelict with **** all in?
Big positive for me was Oli Shaw, i couldnt see how anyone could be less effective than Max Watters, but full credit, he proved me wrong
Can certainly see why the lad didn't even make the bench last year unfortunately. He's another who could do with a year out on loan but hopefully to come back better
Collins has mentioned previously about waiting to see what players we need. Well the last 2 games has shown me that we need a big lad up top, to hold it up and provide something different. Also, if Luca isn’t returning anytime soon, then we need a defensive minded midfielder who will cut balls out and get at our opposition. I’m hoping these discussions are taking place.
We started well. Second half we let Peterborough dominate. We are missing Norwood big time, we need someone ugly and nasty to keep the ball in our half! Disappointing, it's not lack of effort but we're lacking knowhow. I still don't see how Bolton, Peterborough manage to keep hold of their team from last season when they've been down on league 1 far longer than us.
I had the Pompey game on,,, Colby Bishop got the only goal of the game & 24 goals for Pompey last season. Haven’t heard him being mentioned with moves to the Championship. Same with Clarke-Harris. Why is it always our players?
Have to say i thought we gave as good as we got for 50 minutes but once we took the lead we looked naive and sat back and got what we deserved.Peterborough looked fully prepped and ready for another promotion push whilst we and not surprisingly yet again look nowhere near ready and won’t till probably end of September. Can’t blame the coach he’s not been given the tools needed for the start of the season unlike the other fancied teams in the league but he’s not the first and won’t be the last it’s the Barnsley way I’m afraid.
