Ineffective again. When i say ineffective - playing at about 40% of what we know he is capable of. Just play Phillips now. If Styles wants to go, just get rid. Transfer window messes us up year after year.
And yet hes still 372836293 times better than Kane. The team will be massively weakened whem he's sold. And its weak enough already
Much more concerned about Kitching. Thought styles did fine. Kitching hasn't been the same since this rumour. His passing was horrendous against Bristol and his defending today was atrocious. Just let's opposition peel off around him, hadn't tracked runs properly and could have just cleared it for their 3rd. Looks totally disheartened about id drop him for this French lad until window is shut. When considering our defence pre season I really didn't expect him to be this bad but he's been nothing short of embarrassing considering we know how good he can be
I wonder if Styles is 100% fit. He starts matches looking like a world beater, way above this level. But then fades. He might just be playing with fitness issues or carrying a knock.
Exactly the same last season. Meant to be an international player but doesn’t look even good enough to play league one, but that’s why he plays for Hungary.
Thought tonight Styles was the least of our worries. Kitching was poor. Very, very poor. Watters also.
Wouldn’t have picked Styles out of everyone tonight in all honesty. Our midfield as a group is far too easy to stroll through. 3 triangle passes and you’re through us. Without Luca, we’ve got nobody to close gaps and be tenacious towards the opposition.
Kitching played like he didn't want to be on the pitch and watters was dog *****. Styles wasn't alone
Let's be honest. Roberts did well to keep it below 5 against. Everyone who wasn't him, was terrible tonight, subs included.
Kitching was at fault twice tonight, as he stood off the player for their 2nd, and lost possession through being casual for their third. And he wasn't at all impressive last Saturday. He's way off last season's form. And as for Watters - so ineffective. On a positive note, a great game for Liam Roberts and pleased for Barry Cotter.
There's a few under that category, one thing I'll say for Duff, that team last season was as fit as a butchers from the get go, some of these look like cart horses coming from pit bottom
Collins must take some of the blame for not bringing Phillips on 5mins earlier. We were leggy then, but he left it. In other respects though, his hands are tied - the bench isn’t strong enough to make any impact. No attacking strength. Connell should alter that, but again, could be some time. The whole team looked disjointed and edgy. However, Peterborough and their manager are no mugs, and will be up there again this season. A draw would have been fair enough - and again a decent result. So we’ll see what we’re like after the transfer window closes, and go from there.
Desperately missing Connell, hope the lad gets sorted hope it's nothing to do with personality clash with Collins missing Norwoods link up play and game management experience, we've basically broken partnerships right through the team from back to front
Hopefully just a bad night at the office for Kitching (on an individual level) but if these performances continue over the next couple of games then it would start to become concerning.
Styles was my MOTM. He did some good runs and always tries to move the ball forward rather than sidewards or backwards.
He needs to play with better players, his brain is 5 seconds infront of everyone else in that side so he’s trying things that a championship player would work with. However these non league and league 2 lads just don’t see it until it’s gone. He does need to go though, I think he’s a great player but we’re a better team without him in it.
