I never felt for Schopp to be honest, he came from managing a village club in Austria to BFC and he was so far out of his depth it was unreal. We had that pre season post (after the Manchester City friendly) about how much of a **** show it was and certain club employees came on this forum to deny it! Asssbagi was a strange one, I thought he might do ok but again he was ******* useless!!
Initially I thought we needed an experienced defender or two, but from front to back we look wide open so maybe it's a tactical tweak that's needed.
tbh can’t see why we didn’t make some tactical tweaks way earlier, the fans could see it coming but…..,
Yes, but you're drawing that conclusion on the basis that nothing will be changed. We've got plenty of players good enough to be a well-organised side at this level, and I believe others can be signed if necessary. If we remain disorganised then that's down purely to the coach. If it seems to us that something is lacking, then I'm pretty sure he can see that too, and will presumably take steps to rectify it.
I can accept that we can’t afford to compete in the Championship. I’m disappointed that we can’t appear to compete in League One. If our financial position is as bad as some people assume that is.
Looks that way, we aim lots of long balls that come straight back and cause us problems. Early days and hopefully Collins has a wishlist of targetmen if that's what he wants.
Can't like this enough. At some point you have to wonder what the point is, when Luton are a better Barnsley team than we are.
I may be switching off but I'm not seeing many long balls. I am seeing plenty of passing between the back 3/5 to midfield and back again .. so I may be dozing off at all these long balls tbh
He probably should have done. But to be fair there were games last season where Duff should have probably changed shape but didn't. Exeter and Burton away. No manager's going to get everything right. Assuming he's not a complete idiot, he'll be well aware of what went wrong tonight, both from the players' perspective and his own.
Cudda bin 4 up at half time and in reality Posh were trying to contain us. problems started when we scored and they came out of their shell..realised we weren't that good and overran us. said before too many quality players from last season sold or not retained from loans..It may be that some of these come through and hit the level of last year but we've left Collins to do team formations and player selection trials while the season is live....not a good idea..tonight Watters looked poor. Russell looked better but still not good enough. will be a while till everyone is available and the 1st 11 picks itself. meanwhile sadly this will be how it is..
If you're seeing fluent link up play form defence through midfield to attack then you're definitely asleep
