Let’s be honest, the car park situation is an absolute farce
Sponsors, season tickets in the club 64/Patrick’s lounge and disabled being punished for something that has never been an issue before last season, I know the club maybe aren’t fully at fault for the situation, but having to wait until away team coaches have exited before home fans can leave is just shambolic, and they’re going to have to come to a resolution to sort this, you simply can’t punish people who pay a lot of money into the club who just wants to go home straight after the match..
obviously doesn’t help when you’ve lost, but it’s putting me off renewing next season, along with other obvious frustrations about “our” club

Think they are trying the best to get fans to leave before the game ends to alleviate this problem.

I know that's a joke but even that shows how bad it is. Last season if drivers left early and got to their car before pedestrians started coming out you could leave the carpark. This season that's been banned and cars are sat with engines on with a gate closed in front of them and no pedestrians in sight

The car park situation is a complete cluster f’k! I go to the matches with a disabled supporter and park in the disable parking section. The staff running the exits are severely inexperienced and haven’t a clue what they’re doing. No one is stopping multiple queues of cars being formed. I fear an accident is inevitable with this current system.

Whatever's the point of a club car park if it's not to be used by supporters?

If this is the future for parking then we’re going to alienate even more fans i couldn’t believe the empty spaces not being used.

Everyone who has bought a ticket for it should demand a refund and watch the club lose thousands of pounds. Maybe then they'll give a toss

Mate there's loads who can't walk from the town centre due to disability issues. Don't be so narrow minded.

The way they're going the car park will be superfluous as no one will want to use it and will find alternatives. This will then make room for Khaled's big announcement, as he's unearthed the plans from 1973 to build a Spar supermarket on the car park!

Unbelievable comment, yeah I’ll park in town (and not use the car park ticket what comes with our season ticket what I work hard for) and make my 83 year old Grandad walk in shall I?
They need to address the situation sooner rather than later, because something silly will happen sooner rather than later

I'm a generally anti-parking person who finds it absolutely wild that people feel entitled to pull up wherever they like, but I don't think anybody at all has an issue with providing parking at the ground for people who really need it.

Maybe the club could hire a car park somewhere outside the town and run a free bus in from it for those that can manage that - wouldn't that solve the problem nicely?

Probably the best idea I've seen on this forum for a while. In one idea it eases congestion around the ground and the car park, plus gives other people a much needed alternative route to Oakwell.

I've thought this for a few years but the problem is that the current stupid rules mean the busses would have to sit parked up for half an hour after games anyway

It may not be a popular view, but siting the Fan Zone where it is has contributed to this problem.
