I see it as opposite. I was perplexed as to why we sat back and stopped playing football as soon as we took the lead. But I'm quite glad that from his interviews it was clear that that wasn't his game plan. As always there's been massive overreactions on here. It's not been great, but it's not been terrible. Give him time.
You might be right but that’s a bit harsh after only three games. Collins (and any other Coach) can only play the hand they have been given and he’s been given a pretty poor hand. He’s not the first either.
Errors today from Cadden and Kitching cost us the game. Kitvhing was poor at Bristol and again tonight it looks to me like his head isn't in it Styles doing OK but only playing st 75%. We need to get a few more points in the bag before the end of the transfer window, our head down and get some energy going for a full 90 minutes. Peterborough played well and are a good team who deserved the win tonight. The Shaw Dallas double change doesn't work, a 3rd striker is desperately needed and taking off Watters and Cole together was a mistake. Watters will come good. When we were high press we were decent when switched to a low press very poor. The midfield were good for 50 minutes poor for the rest. Lopata and Roberts were very good Kitching Cadden Williams weren't. Still early days and still lots of squad changes still to come. Gone by Christmas load of shxte.
I think his hands are tied a bit although I don’t think you can play Russell in what’s essentially a midfield two with Styles getting a free role ahead of Russell & Kane. He’s obviously a talented player on the ball but doesn’t have the mobility to play in a two in my opinion. I think a midfield 3 like we played last season would’ve prevented two of the goals last night. Cotter’s also a problem in that it feels like all the team drift over to the right to cover for him leaving even more space on our left when he doesn’t track back.
Cadden was bonkers. Down by the middle of the east stand he could have kept the ball in play and booted it forward. Instead he purposely let it go out for a throw, threw it backwards putting us under pressure and we conceded about thirty seconds later.
After we scored it was obvious to 10000 reds fans thT posh altered their system and took control of midfield it wanted an extra midfielder on for Barnsley but this coach made wholesale changes up front, which were not needed, yes bring one of the young strikers on but leave one of the older heads on with him, preferably cole for him to learn. Also i am sure with whatever problem there is with iseka i am sure he is better than Dallas. I just pray we get a decent loan striker, Tedic would be good again.. but this coach does tend to sub like for like, if he takes a striker off he puts one back on, he doesn't seem to be able to change things. Yes he did reasonably well in America but that isn't British football, far from it and he also has a lot to learn even though he has played in England
Annoyed the crap out of me did that. Why on earth didn't he just pass it before the throw in. Was pulling my hair out
It was clear that their number 14 was running the show yet we failed to reduce the ball getting to him and did little about closing him down when he got the ball. Watters Shaw Dallas totally ineffective. Norwood was streets ahead in affecting a game.
I think the real issue is we are badly missing Luca Connell & James Norwood. Our midfield 3 is somewhat unbalanced at the moment & we don't have any physicality up top. I'm not sure what Collins can do about that TBH.
I don't want to be classed as overeacting, but it looks very worrying for me. Poor shape, poor position, players not picking up men, defender letting strikers get goal side and have free headers, players turning up going through the motions looking like they can't be arsed. One defeat but you could argue we were very lucky at Bristol if marquis could finish he would have had a hat trick.
The whole spine has been ripped out. It will take time to grow a new one. I suggest some supporters try to do the same..
