40 minutes after the bolton game, got back to the car at 21.58 and was held until 22.38, and after the p/boro game i came out when they got their 3rd and moved the cone infront of my car, opened the gate, now bear in mind there was an additional 7 mins, so i'm at my car about 15mins from the final whistle, and 2 attendants? came, one started to close the gate, and the other picked the cone and SHE said " i dont fuckin' think so" i just said to her if you put that cone infront of my car i will break your, fuckin' nose and said to the guy reopen the gate or your elbows gone. i was out of order but the got the same attitude off me as i got off them. i went upto the club on thursday and reported both incidents' as a happy clapper i am sadly falling out of love with our once amazing club and just dont feel like attending, this will not matter to the club as i'm a season ticket holder and have pre paid my parking. i'm not some sort of young nutter but a very pee'd off O.A.P. of 66

Your behaviour here was absolutely ridiculous.

I’m not saying I agree with the rules they have imposed in the car park. I don’t: so I don’t park in it.

You parked in there in full knowledge of what the exit procedure is, and proceeded to try to circumnavigate it - and threatened violence to two people paid very little to do a thankless job, who’d be under strict instruction to not allow anyone out.

Do I agree with her swearing at you? Of course not. That’s poor. But that is zero justification of your threat to her afterwards - there is never a justification for threatening to break someone’s nose, never mind a young lass - and you then threatened someone else for closing a gate - i.e doing the job he’s paid to do exactly as he’s instructed.

Can I suggest when complaining to the club you tell the complete story exactly as it happened, as I strongly suspect you’ll then never have any issues at the Oakwell car park again.

Embarassing. If you don't like the ridiculous rules don't park there. If the staff have reported your threats of violence, you will probably get banned from Oakwell.

You make alternative arrangements if parking in there and the exit procedure means you can’t get to work.

You make an adult decision and don’t try and get round the issue by threatening two people who were likely little more than kids.

You don’t try and get the club to change their stance by behaving appallingly, then come into a forum and expect support and/or sympathy.

I do think this is a poor policy. I do think it should be rethought. I don’t know if they will.

None of the things they have done compare to your behaviour though.

i get to the game a good 90 mins before ko so i can get to the front of a parking row so i can get away sharpish and the attendants have always be brill about even to the point of shifting the cone and waving me out, sometimes if i didnt make it in time then fair enough i know the game, i know the rules but 40 mins at the bolton game when there was no one around 'cos everyone was on the pitch. and then 15 mins before the final whistle against p/boro and yes i admit i was out of order growling but when i picked the cone up i didnt throw it i just placed against that broken section of wall. it was the cpa that came with the attitude 1st, but there were also coming from the top car park it was just the bottom gates that were half open. i'm not trying to justify what i said just what i did
