I really don’t think he’s to blame, I do think he’s taken on a massive challenge.
Running the club into the ground would only damage his business name and wouldn’t look good on his CV.

Yep, some people were shouting stuff and he couldn't handle it but when you say stuff like "whichever player I bring in is the best" or words to that effect what does he expect. I also noticed when people where trying to ask him questuons he was having a little private conversation with the other board members instead of listening.

“I am pleased that we have made a number additions to our squad during the summer transfer window. We have worked diligently to bring in players who share our vision and passion for the game. These new signings, along with our existing core, will hopefully form a formidable unit that will make all of us proud during the coming campaign.”

Sorry but he’s the one spouting stuff that isn’t actually relevant. edit and to be fair the post was aimed in response to Craig and not you Bing.

So you think things would be different if we sacked Khaled and brought in a new CEO? How? Where's the additional money coming from? IMO the owners sure as hell aren't going to put additional money in. I said it with the previous CEOs, despite the job title they are just a mouthpiece for the owners and I would question their influence.

The fans used to blame Conway for everything and some on here used to defend him but it turned out that Conway was the biggest culprit. Now the fans blame Khaled who to my understanding does most of the jobs , signings etc that conway used to do. Well i know there are do gooders on here and people that say it isn't all him. But my money is with the majority

If only he was just a mouthpiece, unfortunately he has control over a variety of things at the club.

If the reports of what @ringo says are accurate then it just highlights the absolute necessity to remove this individual from his position.

Granted the west stand closurewas a **** up, however he does what he's told, which is pretty much the same as all the previous CEOs...Need to be questioning different personell about the finances.

One thing football fans are good at is spending other folks money.

Whilst he's probably not part of the initial identifying players, he's well versed in data and part of the negotiation process.
Let's be honest he hasn't covered himself in glory but he doesn't deserve dogs abuse.
He's made some monumental **** ups west stand, vouchers, big news and I'm still to be convinced.
I think a major part of the problem at oakwell is the staff structure, I would imagine his job role is far to heavy for what a CEO should be about.
For me a CEO should be driving the commercials and customer facing side of the business and whilst overseeing and being wholly responsible, he shouldn't be getting his hands dirty with toilet hand rails (not that, that isn't important)he looked shocked at that reminder you could tell he'd forgotten.

Was sat in the second row, and I think they were just discussing who was going to take the question and what they were going to respond with.

As a percentage of wealth I would bet most long serving fans put in the same or more as the owners over a longer period..

My point was many fans answer to most things is just to spend more money and write players off after just a couple of games when history shows that we actually do a really good job in the transfer market. In fact you could argue our problem is we're doing too good a job.

Agreed. As I mentioned in a previous post, according to the doom and gloomers, we're Schroedinger's football club. Simultaneously selling brilliant players, while apparently being rubbish at recruitment.

Orsen, I'm going to reply to that even though I'm currently trying not to post on here or even read the site much because I've got utterly fed up of reading the rubbish some people are posting.
I've no great love for Khaled. I don't think he's that good. But to your point...we've always operated like this, more or less.
We've spent 136 years doing very little, achieving very little. We won the FA Cup 111 years ago. Won the EFL once and most people on here seem to treat that as some sort of slur on the club's name and got to the top division once then got promptly relegated.
The golden period of our history for those of us old enough was to see the club rise from the fourth tier to the second.
The rest has been a fairly dour vacillation between levels two and three.
So what's the point? Things are unlikely to ever change. What's the point?
Well I've f***ing well enjoyed it. I'm sorry you and others don't seem to.
