I hope this one's true. Great player, and certainly one worth pushing the boat out for. Strong, good with his feet and scores all sorts of different types of goal. Think he's got quite a while left on his contract so I can see them holding out for £1.5m
For me Styles is the one we could lose, in that we have Phillips & Jalo, who both could play behind the front 2. Selling Kitching, unless it is a massive fee would be madness, when our defence already looks like a colander, after we have lost Mads & Bobby Thomas. No way we can push for promotion losing Kitch, unless there is some real quality coming in on loan. I'm a happy clapper, but I have to say we need to be addressing this, if we are not going to hang out Collins to dry. It's all speculation & will wait & see.
Ah maybe, I don't know why, but I thought he'd signed an extension when they won promotion last year. You'd think a million would get him then. I guess the sell on for MK complicates things. Charlton had half a million turned down last month apparently.
It wouldn't matter if we got £4m for Styles, I'd still be astounded if they paid that money out for anyone.
If we're spending that sort of money, we should be prioritising an adequate replacement for Andersen.
If he'd been our player we'd have sold him by now for much less than that. The sparkle of money would be too much for our lot to resist.
We're always led to believe that wages is the issue rather than the transfer fees themselves. I don't think it's beyond the realms, especially if he's not asking to be paid a ridiculous amount, and the club sees resale value in him.
Transfermrkt has his contract expiring end of June 24. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/sam-nombe/profil/spieler/452380
Can’t see it. Combined with Pete O’Rourke’s track record of not getting anything right ever, I’m convinced it’s a non starter. Makes Nixon look well informed that lad.
