Is it a credible source though? I'm not on twitter, so when I follow the link, it brings up old tweets. I'm not sure what the order is (it appears random), but having scrolled back through a dozen or so, barring Moises Caicedo to Chelsea, I'm yet to find one which came true. One, even claims a particular Bayer Leverkusen player has agreed a deal with Arsenal, and yet, he signed for Aston Villa. It might be a real person behind the account, but I'm not convinced it's reliable either.
Yeah, I know, don’t make him worth any more though. They run risk of him walking away for nothing. By all accounts he was awful at weekend and showed no interest.
The link I shared is from a page which isn't always spot on with their views but the rumour is from Pete O'Rourke who is a former sky reporter. He's pretty reliable. On his actual Twitter page he's posting about this rumour and he often gets stuff spot on. Not saying that means he has this spot on though but he's much more credible than Nixon for example.
As a sensible aside, the Barnsley board could learn a lot from Caldwell-'Our player is not going anywhere until a massive bid comes in'. Sensible attitude to have about your players, especially if you want to keep them. We dont do that, we invite bids in my opinion.
So that explains the several bids we've turned down this window as not being good enough for our players.
caldwell is just the coach. If their board want sell then Caldwell will not have a say in the matter.
I don’t think it’s fair to say our defence is like a colander. Colanders are actually quite strong in places with just a few holes
Credible in that he’s not some saddo making rumours up online. However I would again say he’s pretty credible from being at sky sports. He says in this one that we are “planning a bid” so if it comes to September and he isn’t our player, that doesn’t necessarily mean this guy is chatting crap. We’ve probably planned bids and actually bid for loads of players this summer that we’ve not heard about.
You've misinterpreted my post. You've done that previously too and ridiculed me. So I don't really care about your response. If you don't know what what Im talking about I'll pm you.
I dont think I am. I'm merely suggesting that the attitude of 'it'll cost a lot if you want to buy player A' is what we should be doing. No speculation.
But how do you know that what’s acceptable to the Exeter manager will be the same as their fans accept as being correct…..sorry pal but you are guessing
