Football club's money all comes from fans. It just whether you consider the route of the money. It Broadcasters only pay huge amounts for TV rights because fans want to watch, the difference is whether its direct fan income from those paying the club direct or via sponsorship/broadcasting rights.
Sorry but the blame sits with Barnsley fc because nobody will get there finger out and sort it either with puma or fanatics or both.people have paid good money out in good faith for THIS years kit from which Barnsley fc get a cut and the out of pocket fans are still waiting. Not good enough Khaled, julie ann and anybody else involved in the fiasco
From the answer they gave about it at the meeting the other night do you to they give a shiny **** about the situation? I dont
A bit of a selective response that completely ignores the issue, but I'll roll with it. I'm not an idiot. I know full well that the club has outsourced the club shop to Fanatics. Irrespective of that, the club cannot simply absolve itself of responsibility for the shortcomings of its appointed vendor. It's only appointed vendor. A vendor that is fully integrated into the barnsleyfc.co.uk website. A store that is fully BFC branded, with the somewhat amusing tagline of "A Fanatics Experience". It's certainly been an experience. I can't go online anywhere else and buy a Barnsley shirt. Therefore, the club have forced fans to buy shirts via their sole vendor and are now responsible for the outcomes of that decision. Regardless of how that online store is operated, it is a BFC site, selling BFC merchandise. It's not JD Sports, or Sports Direct, or any other online retailer. It's the club's chosen online retail platform. The club is accountable for the "experience" that their customers (fans) experience as a result of that 3rd party vendor's service. Some fans seem almost delighted that having paid out hundreds of pounds on shirts and kit, they are still waiting for them 7 to 9 weeks later with pretty much zero communication from BFC or the vendor. I find that bizarre. Yeah it's great that JAQ's mate Kid Super is involved and it drives exposure for the club. Also, I couldn't personally give a fc uk that JAQ is revelling in it. What I do care about is the utterly gash levels of service thousands of fans are experiencing as a result of BFC and Fanatics. I'm not sure that gaslighting people who have spent hard earned money supporting the club through buying merchandise is the side of this debate that I'd ever want to be on.
Just had the second delay email of the week, went back to 04/09/23 on Tuesday, just had another one pushing it back to 18/09/23. I ordered on 1st July and I think original date given was 04/08/23.
Just not good enough and the powers that be at oakwell couldn't care a toss. We have paid our money they are happy, no customer service, no integrity nothing
Even though I used fanatics to buy my shirt I’ve no delay emails and when I try to log in they can’t find my details! Unless I was a guest
No way should anyone still be expected to pay 50 quid for a shirt that will be at least two months delayed from a release date that was already later than a club should be aiming for.
Had an email today apologising for the delay and it also says “As an update, we will ship your order by the 04/09/23.”. That seems a bit more definite than what it said before of “We expect your order to ship no later than 04/09/2023”. Hopefully the issues have been resolved and our fans can start receiving their orders.
just had another email with same dates but also an apology and a 20% discount code (that begins with BFC)
Seriously, the 20% voucher has an expiry date of 1/3/24, so you can't even use it on next year's kit. Or even this year's training kit when it gets reduced. Looking at the site, there's naff all you could actually spend it on. Farce.
