Not a Premier looking team that. Like us, will be a one-season adventure for them. Going to watch it anyway and would be great if both Mads and Cauley got on at some point
They’ll go down but fair play for getting there hope they turn over some big sides and stay up personally. Got a 2-1 home win tonight.
Watching on Tv now. Mick Harford is class. Really does show the benefit of having a club man behind the scenes.
Think that's a good point. Knowledge of the club. respect of the fans which would breed a more patient view feom the support. In addition, invaluable help for the coach and his team. Knowledge of how other clubs work and tbe league we play in. Respect of the players. Someone with a good brain also. Yes. You've convinced me!!!
They've done the right thing really, buy a squad what still ultimately (more than likely) go down, but it'll keep you up and around the play offs of the championship. And keeping adding talent incrementally who would be good enough eventually with the parachute payments.
Don’t get me wrong, it has to be the right man, but if we’ve a Mick Harford who wants a job I’d snap him up in a minute.
Are there any former Reds who have some type of DoF experience or some role that involves recruitment? I’m not arguing against the idea, I definitely think we need someone closer to the first team.
It might be left field but perhaps Bruce Dyer might fancy it. Still in love with the game, still based locally? Alternatively perhaps Redders but neither have any experience in the role.
Watching this match by the way and 1.3 million was a bargain for Morris. He’s not the only player on the Luton side who doesn’t look out of place at this level, but I see him as the only one likely to get a chance at an established premier league side moving forward if they go down.
