…when did we last achieve this? Can’t remember for the life of me to be honest. Should we get beat what tomorrow is Collins under serious pressure already? I think so…..
How bad was we then. The league has got so much worse since then. I can’t see us losing seven in a row even now with this shower.
We might possibly lose tomorrow but why should he be "under serious pressure". I think in terms of performance and results the coach can only be questioned after the window is shut and there dosen't seem to be any improvement in at least 5 to 10 games after. The "I want it now brigade " are killing football.
Not really. Johnson was given time to turn it around - so should Collins. We were bottom in December time, summat like that. Proper knee jerk stuff to think of moving managers at this stage.
Do you lead a miserable life? Why not try being more positive for a change eh?! He's 4 league games into his tenue, give him til the 15 game marker at least.
That glass of yours, which appears to be less than half full currently, needs topping up. If you don't want to top it up then find another pub and go and drink a different beer.
100% agree BMW. Patience and perspective needed. How much better would our part of the world be if those amongst us were less destructive with their pointless, downbeat negativity?
For what it's worth, our promotion seasons in 1980/81 and 2015/16 at this level both contained 3 match or more losing streaks. Admittedly back in 1981 it came after our long unbeaten run ended at Huddersfield. I missed last Saturday's match due to work but the two home games I've seen showed our inconsistencies. Hopefully we improve although it might be a longer process than we'd ideally want. Got to back Collins for me, see where we are come the January transfer window.
I know we're entitled to our opinions, but my opinion is this is just stupidity. Yes, let's change the manager & assistant manager 4 games in so we can restart the players before they even properly learn their roles in this new system... Some on here wanted Duff gone after 3 games last year. Nowt changes.
We do all want continuity, and we moan about the manager/coach going too regularly. So the suggestion that he should go if we lose at Wigan and at Cheltenham, is ridiculous. But I bet Collins himself would have to admit, its been a disappointing few games since the opening day.
I’m quite happy giving Collins plenty of time to shape his squad, it’s going to take time & patience as he’s not going to get much backing from the right place, the board.
I think we give coaches too much time. Collins will be lucky the club's skint. If we get to Christmas bottom looking back to 2015/16 it could possibly be fatal. He had a face like a slapped arse at fans forum and I'd personally sack him if we lose next three matches.
