I quite liked the lad. I reckon he was too Inconsistent to hold a place down. Possibly trying too hard and not relaxing to his normal game.( I thought the same of Jim Dobbin another favourite of mine who was never in favour with Mel Machin) Got a lot stick from some fans. Probably both of them reasons to Join Aberdeen on a 3yr contract rather than accept a new one from us.

You’re thinking of Kayden. I think we signed him from Accrington, then he left to Grimsby and Ipswich paid a million quid for him. Done well since leaving us.
Not the only one. Plenty have looked good after leaving us, but nothing like the finished article with us.

My memory of Hedges was he looked brilliant when coming on as a sub but whenever he started was poor. It's almost as if filling the squad with young players leads to this kind of inconsistent performances. The down side to supporting a development squad.
