I think there is a chance late unexpected bids may come in for players doing well, so I added Cole and Cadden for that reason.
It’s more likely to be a loan with a compulsory purchase for a nominal fee. Best for us and the lad if he is able to play. It’s as much BFC’s fault for buying him as it is ALI’s.
Hope Iseka goes. Ridiculous wages and not even sitting on the bench. Loan Shaw out - not getting in the squad now and less likely to if we bring a new striker in. Wouldn’t be overly bothered about Styles going, I prefer Phillips
I'm not expecting a quiet week down at Oakwell. We have a big squad, Collins doesn't know his best side with too many players in each position of similar ability to pick from. Can see lots of loans out and I will be amazed and delighted if we don't lose many off the list above.
I really dont understand why so many posters are expressing the opinion that Cundy should go out on loan this week when he is injured and no where near a come back! How can he possibly go out on loan?
Don’t want him to but I have voted for Styles. Think a championship side will come in for him. Also think Shaw will leave on loan or maybe even permanent, especially with Marsh netting again today. Looks like he’s a bit further down the pecking order for definite now.
I think Styles will go and Iseka needs to go. Don't get too hung up on Iseka leaving this week though as not all transfer windows close on Friday - eg if he was going back to Turkey, their window doesn't close until September 15th. I'd rather be anticipating the much needed 'L1 ready' incomings that are required - I'd say two centre backs and two forwards, although my limited expectations of Khaled lead me to believe that it'll be one of each tops and even they may not be of the requisite quality. In an ideal world we'd bring in a LWB and a keeper too as the cover in both cases is not good enough imho. At the end of the day we've been outplayed in 4 out of 6 games so far and that perspective needs to be borne in mind and not be clouded by what was a good win on Saturday, albeit ultimately one against ten men.
Maybe Styles content to stay now.... <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Callum Styles has been called up to the Hungary squad for their EURO 2024 qualifiers <br><br> 7 September<br> 10 September<br><br>Good luck, Stylesy!</p>— Barnsley FC (@barnsleyfc) <a href="">August 29, 2023</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
