I haven't jumped on you. It's a message board where we debate things about BFC. I was just wondering why you hated Norwood so much that's all. You've given your reasons I guess - although I don't agree with them. If anything, Cole is the one who should have scored more goals - that's his job, to be in the 6 yard box. Norwood is a chaser and harrier who creates opportunities for others. I agree that it's done now though, but fans are well within their right to bemoan the decision on the eve of the season.
Why do I hate Norwood? Because I don't rave about him or post about him everytime we lose or he scores a goal in non league? Like I said I don't rate him as much as you but hate definitely not. Can't just rely on one striker to score the goals if your going for promotion didn't help the fact the 2 loanees weren't exactly prolific but one ended up taking norwoods place in the 11. I'm not saying fans can't moan about it but we have history of doing things like that and he wanted to leave. I was more pissed off with the replacements.
He doesn't hate Norwood. If you want to see hate then have a look what he says about Watters. He's not alone in that, but he's certainly the most prolific.
Norwood has left and by all accounts because it was his decision to take up the Oldham offer (which was too good to turn down at his age), .....so let’s all accept the fact he is no more and move on!!
I find it very odd his obsession with Norwood. Norwood was a good L1 player no more or less. Someone who won’t linger in the memory long but did a good job while he was here. But him just jumping on every post yo criticise is weird.
It was a huge mistake to let him go. One that damages our clubs prospects. Worst transfer in years that was preventable. From what the man himself said on social media- he wasnt exactly jubilant to be nudged out of oakwell either
Do you not find it more weird were Still mentioning it every week? Or even twice a week? I remember Conway selling kieffer moore for peanuts with 5 days left of the window then bringing in schmidt and people didn't go on about it as much as this.
And weeks before that we sold pinnock and lindsay and replaced them with players that had never played a championship game before. We've done stuff like this for years.
Sollbaeur was told he could leave cos he was 'homesick' So we lost our biggest leader & oldest head over a lame excuse This is in the same mould Just so needless
Not really - I don't want players who don't wanna be here & aren't fully committed. He got a great offer from Oldham, and at his age, he took it. Don't blame him one bit. It's not as though we've lost a Hourihane, Andersen, Morris type player - especially considering he couldn't play for a full 90 minutes. I wish we kept him but I really don't think it's a monumental mistake like you're making out. I do think we'll click under Collins, hopefully sooner rather than later, and we'll be fine without JN.
That’s rubbish.....I have it on good authority that he claimed that Oldhams offer too good to turn down so off he went, good luck to him, we move on, we have let far far better players than him leave in past.....
Well even if thats true, he was so important we shouldve upped his wages, rather than wasting money on shaw and watters
Yep, completely agree. Had we won that Bristol game & drew the Oxford game, things would be completely different. Fans lose their head over so few games. We need to give them a proper chance to prove themselves - both the board & management last season was great.
