I wonder how they are in their work enviroment? I'll stay well clear of questioning home. Oh. I just did.
Sollbauer is a very bad case to make this point over imho - he had just spent the best part of 18 months totally away from his wife and young kid locked down in England throughout the Covid period. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. I have some sympathy with the general view that we seem to have an irrational outlook on the impact a wiser, older head (as long as they're still physically serviceable!) can have on an otherwise young group but I'm glad that we agreed to Michael's wish to get nearer home after what he'd had to endure.
I think its lame. As I've said theres ways around a grown man missing his home country, like spending xmas there and a few month in summer
I purposely didn't highlight the lockdown connection, hoping you might choose to grasp what is left of your dignity and remain quiet. Exile pointed it out, but yet you continue. Sigh.
Sollbauer didn’t leave because he was homesick - he was forced out by the club. I know that, because he told me.
I always suspected so mate. Club making excuses. Khaled and Conway wanted moon & kitching instead cos they were much younger and they thought they could get a few quid
Gary Caldwell saying Exeter have excepted bids from 2 clubs. Not saying its us just saying what hes said tonight.
Cole is at the age now where he's got plenty of nous. Very far from the most talented striker we've ever had, but he works his nuts off and his understanding of the overall game seems to have come on in leaps and bounds over the last two seasons. From looking rather aimless at times, he's now a very canny footballer. I'm absolutely sure his best few years are still in front of him. I also think that Watters did a huge amount of spade work on Saturday which largely went unnoticed.
According to someone itk on the Rotherham forum, they're signing Nombe. According to someone itk on the Huddersfield forum, they're signing Nombe. According to someone itk on the Exeter forum, Birmingham are signing Nombe.
For any player who has self-confidence that he can score at an higher level, both of those would provide him with a springboard to the riches of the EPL. Score 10-15 for a struggling team battling against relegation and he is set for life...
Agree about Cole's work rate After the start they've had and last night's 6-1 at Stoke.. The manager won't last much longer.. Don't expect Nombe to come here but jeez he'd be made to go there. May as well stay where he is..
