Foooook me folks complain like mad when we sell, why do they think we would spend millions because we received millions.....it never happens so keep Kitchen and flog him next year when we back in Championship!!!
Rather than splash that kind of money on two players, use £1m for improvements (including to existing squad pay) then chuck £3m at the West Stand rebuild.
Between Mads, Collins and Duff we've done pretty well to cover some of our losses for the year, if we get anything for Kitching or Styles we should be investing in the squad just so we have some players to sell in a couple of years.
I'd be sadder to lose Kitch than Styles, as we have a good replaceemennt this season in McAtee, who looks a better no 10, or attacking midfielder. Everyone has their price, but we have these lads on long contracts.
Why would we? We would only be spending what we get for Kitching. If that's the case we are already heading to insolvency for not accepting it.
Mads went for less...and twice the player. Kitch can't defend...get rid...and spend the money on 2 proven players not lower league sh*t
It was a bit tongue in cheek. But you know as well as I do, the only way this club is ever going to be competitive, and get back to the level we want to be at is to recruit wisely, buy 3 or 4 quality players for a fraction of the money we've gained from a transfer.
Absolutely. Some should, and will, be reinvested wisely in the squad. I don't subscribe to the notion that we should make massive changes to our recruitment strategy though at the first sight of a few million quid. We can't, if we ever want to get back to the championship and be competitive.
I guess the point is we have also to pay the salary that that level of purchase would require which might not fit into the available budget as I'd guess we'd be paying championship wages maybe?
