We could sell trouser half the transfer fee and sign two million pound players in defence and attack and get promoted. I say sell.
Last season? I think you’re about 12 months out. Those criticisms came when we were struggling in the Championship.
Isn't "struggling in the Championship" where we aspire to be in 12 months time though? I guess it depends on what you see with Kitching. If he's a young player who's massively improved over the last 18 months by playing at a level that's more accommodating to his weaknesses, and who will therefore be much better when he returns to the Championship, then fair enough. That's obviously what Coventry see. I'm not sure I do. I see a player who still has the same vulnerabilities, but they're far less exposed at League 1 level, so he looks like a much better player. He's definitely matured, but to Championship level and beyond, I dunno... For that reason, if they're really offering £4m, I'd have taken it today, and if they come back tomorrow he'll be gone.
To be fair to Kitching you could have put Maldini in that championship team and he’d have probably looked pony.

https://www.coventrytelegraph.net/s...oventry-city-transfers-liam-kitching-27633684 Should Robins be speaking to a player who is contracted elsewhere, as he's admitted he has done in this article.
Not sure why folk have a hissy fit about things like this... This as always gone on and all clubs do it. Before there is any contact with the players club, the chasing club gets to know if the player is actully interested in the move..
For me it shows a lack of class talking about another clubs playe,r must something in the water in the Midlands as a certain flat nosed geordie did a few years back. As for him speaking to Kitch it baffles me how he could can speak directly to a player that's under contract before an agreement between the clubs but it seems common place these days.
That's scary, last years back 3 Anderson Thomas and kitch to this year's... let's hope we get another defender in then ASAP.
Hissy fit or not. They (clubs).take a risk. Tapping up is considered one of the more significant business infractions a club can make. If a club is reported and found guilty of the activity, they can be handed financial punishments or even transfer window bans. 2 Jul 2023
Well he definitely isn't a captain. But i would like him to stay but i bet he doesn't and now sounds like millwall want styles on loan again
