It’s a fair point that you make, but surely you understand that things change and rethinking occurs

Rotherham matched our bid. He chose Rotherham. You made a post about why he might have done that. I don't think all those points you made were valid, but some were, particularly that they're in a higher league than us. He also has a good relationship with their manager.

A weakened team weakened even more how much more money do we want? Would happily take the money had we the time to reinvest it properly in this window.

I believe these transfer deadline days are largely just publicity stunts and nearly all the deals are more or less done before today, so if was to be right on this then we should be announcing a player or two with the money we just made on Kitching....be disappointed if we don’t make a good signing tonight

Ok, let's use another analogy. I really like my car, and I have no intention of selling it. It's economical, comfortable, and lovely to drive. If someone asked me if it was for sale, I'd say "no", because it's not. However, if somebody offered me £12,000 for it, I'd jump straight in it, and drive it down to the buyer. That's because the market value for a 2014 Volvo S60 is £6500 tops. If someone offered me near on double that, I'd be beyond mental not to accept it. Just like the going rate for even a very accomplished 3rd tier centre half is surely £2 million at an absolute push.

I know Kitching is/was carrying an injury but If he has travelled with the team to Cheltenham, then that indicates to me he was very much part of our coach’s plans

In this case I think someone offered you £250,000

Myra plus the money from the Wembley appearance which is an extra 500k. Additional income from Semi final. Additional TV money from semi final. Sponsorship money and you match your income from Season tickets.

Then factor in the costs of paying SYP, the stewards, the staff, running the academy.

And factor in selling our manager to cover that…

selling Mads should have covered all shortfalls and I was happy with that.

Selling Kitching for daft money is again reasonable but you have up treat they money as a bonus and demonstrably invest it in the playing staff

Factor in not improving the ground in over a decade.

I do accept we are an incredibly badly managed club though.

True, but every single other club in professional football has those costs (Some don't have academies).

The excuses need to stop, we're pulling in good fees, and the replacements should be commensurate, as of yet, they haven't been.

The sale would only start costing me money if I failed to replace the car and started taking taxis or helicopters everywhere. Now admittedly replacing a car is a much more exact science than replacing a footballer, which is why the money must be used wisely.

Tell us how you know this, so you can retain some credibility, rather than us all thinking you just made it up. Particularly as you're calling people liars.

My point is that at the moment the owners of the club are having to subsidise it's running. They bought it as an investment. They could walk away tomorrow and we could do a Bury. Thankfully they are doing what's necessary to keep the club afloat and if that includes selling 2 players for good money and one for a number we've no idea about but it means we keep the rest it's not bad in the scheme of things.
