Don’t think we can turn that sort of offer down. Have we got enough quality defensively to stay in touch till Jan though? We’ll see I guess. One more in?
Exactly, just a shame it’s happening last min of window. Would’ve been better earlier in window so we could replace him.
Takes something to lose two captains in the same transfer window, when our chairman said he definitely isn't leaving and in the summer they said there would be no fire sale of players. Anyway.
We couldn't keep a good dinner down.. like i say its good business he is a good player but a poor captain but proves our board are just liars
Sounds like a badly named Football stadium. There's been a goal at the Welcome Kitching stadium, but for who.
Hope the women of Barnsley can return to the streets without feeling the need to shadow box or take self defense classes now.
It hasn't been a fire sale - we've got fantastic money for both Mads with only a year left, and Kitching.
Doesn't fire sale indicate players being sold quickly and below market value to raise cash? Kitching hardly fits that description, it's much more a case of a bid that we'd be stupid to reject. A bad injury or loss of form and £5m becomes a player with little value closer to the end of his contract. Not happy to see him go, far from it, but if that's the kind of fee we're receiving it's good business.
