Good interview with NC after today's game. Worth listening to - his comments about the transfer window and our ins and outs sum up what many of us feel I think. In particular re Kitch - offer too good to turn down but makes his life more difficult. Life changing for Kitch re the ££££. Feels that the new additions were desperate to join us. We're in good hands with this guy. Just got to hope he's not another MLH.
Doug says he was left out (hinted that it was because of transfer speculation) but that he’d be back after international duty
Whilst the jury is still out on Collins, I like what I’m seeing so far! Just hope he’s more loyal than Duff when he guides us to some sort of success.
The people trying to get on at Khaled & the board after what they initially said about Kitching staying, are being naive. We were 100% right to accept 5 million for Kitching. Just a shame it was so late in the window, but we do have injured players hopefully coming back sooner rather than later, and Shepard & Lopata haven't been a walking disaster, so fingers crossed we're slowly gelling and when/if necessary in January we can spend a little & improve
I like Collins and hope he sticks around for a while. Clearly a decent coach and has some great guys behind him helping. Cole was good last season but seems another level this season after some sessions with Stead. Disco has done great things with Cotter too. His biggest task is getting that new look backline to gel and understand what he expects. Once he cracks that we should be flying. Clean sheets in the last two games is a good start to that.
Not getting too carried away over a clean sheet Vs a team who haven't scored in ten hours of football, especially given how many times Roberts saved us first half. Defence still looks the weak link but the players we have will hopefully prove themselves. If not, we surely have a decent transfer budget for January
Absolutely, I do think our last January window was instrumental in our top 6 finish. However this time like mentioned we have money in the bank to implement this.
Weve gora good Manager, squad, and individuals, this team is gunner smash league1 this season, a lot of changes an a lot of gelling but the pieces are in place, keep the faith. C,OY,R.
While Lg One allegedly doesn't look as strong this season, that means there will always be a chance of the top two if or when this team clicks together. I think we were maybe a bit too harsh way too soon on Collins, in fairness.
We as in a lot of us who were doubting him, including myself to be honest. I think any manager/coach needs a good coaching team as well and I'm liking what I'm hearing about Devaney & Stead, both sharing their own playing knowledge with one to one training.
I think we’ve come out of the window with a midfield and forward line up there with the best in L1, same with our keeper. Just not convinced by our defence at all yet. At least we have options when everyone is fit. Time will tell….
That's nice to see someone admiting this. I just think patience as gone in football. Look at Fleetwood sacking manager 6 games in. It's ridiculous, there as to be time given to new coach having lost his 3 key defenders and goaly , we reset again and go . Me personally , think were in a much better position financially than last season. It's difficult running a football club ,I'm more confident with these running things than Conman and co
