I won the toss and chose to bowl. They scored 402/4 from 40 overs. One of our players walked off the field and quit the club after 30 overs in the field. How’s your day gone?
186/9 (all out) because I refused to let that lovely person bat for us. I’m not the normal captain but the 2 above me in the pecking order are away so I just stepped in.
Has said player been with the club a while or only joined this season? What a **** attitude to have, just downing tools because things are going against you. Even if on reflection he apologised and asked to come back I'd tell him to **** off. Done it once so likely to do it again.
Bit of cloud cover at lunch tbf. Or did your boys play a v risky rain card last night and it backfired?
2nd season pal. Opened bowling gave him 6 overs but had to take him off as we needed wickets. Offered him chance to come back later and he said no and fcked off without telling anyone.
The key to good captaincy at village level is having a winning mentality but making it look and feel to your players like it's a knock about.
Played golf on a beautiful evening. Needed two 5's on the last two holes to break 80 for the first time. Scored a 7 and a 6. #bottler .
