Don't like to rub your nose in it anymore as you've had a tough day but I played for Silkstone at Calder Grove years ago in the now defunct Huddersfield Central Cricket League. We batted first that day and racked up 450 odd off 45 overs and bowled CG out for 38 ! Think it stood as a Central League record team total and winning margin!
So he got smashed around the park then ended up becoming a morngy sod and refused to come back on! He sounds like my 9 year old
Played cricket, got put in to bat, managed to get 402/4, then bowled them out for 186 !!! Not really only kidding, unlucky pal, just one of those days by the sounds of it, your team better off without the one who didn't stick around, win as a team lose as a team
Even better. Portions aren't particularly filling due to shrinkflation compared to what they used to serve, but excellent grub.
As WG Grace said: "When you win the toss – bat. If you are in doubt, think about it, then bat. If you have very big doubts, consult a colleague then bat." But seriously, what a ****** that bloke is.
I got bus to Holmefirth with some friends , a few pints round the village , Japanese meal at the Winking Stag , few more drinks , back on the bus , decent day
Have to give it a try. Kingfisher has always been excellent, but portions used to be much bigger. It's telling they have had the same plates for years and the fish used to hang off it, but nowadays it's nothing like. A meal there used to fill you up, but now you need something extra when you get home.
What did Warny used to say ,win the toss have a think about bowling, bat first everytime. Learning curve being a captain.
Oh dear! That's only 10 an over though! And if you were down to 10 men for a quarter of it. My day was lovely, Sun shining and a Reds victory.
Was intending watching my son playing at darfield. No umpires, so I did both ends. Darfield had half a team of juniors and fishlake only had eight men. Turned out a really good game, enjoyed it.
