Under changes to the Brexit rules League One clubs can ask for the EFL to grant exceptions to the eligibility criteria for two players. Mael would be one, and Sollbauer would require the second, potentially locking us out of a large recruiting area.
This guy has clearly got an agenda to be the new BBS troll. Looks like we don't even get Sundays off from the incessant stirring.
One website to be fair and you're right it's most likely that it's ********, I never said it wasn't. I was just saying that exiled saying 33 is too old is stupid
To be fair it isn't him who started the rumour, he's just posted it on here after screenshots of a supposed conversation with Sollbauer himself were posted on Facebook.
Wasn’t part of the reason we let him leave last time (as well as homesick) that he was no longer playing regular?
It's no surprise it was him that posted it and, to be quite honest it's nothing more than tittle tattle. Solbauer was great when he was here. That's years ago. I'm sure there's lots of players would like to play for us. We're unlikely to sign them either. I'll stick to my assessment ST. Troll.
I'm not necessarily disagreeing with your assessment, I just meant that I think a few people in this thread have assumed he's just completely made it up when in reality he's reposted what someone else may well have made up. Personally I've absolutely no idea if having him back would have been a brilliant move or a terrible one
No, I'm not suggesting he made it up. I also think we could have done with a bit of experience at centre half. Solbauer wouldn't be it though. I'm certainly not going along with the club making a huge mistake because we've not signed him as the op is trying to imply. Complete non story.
John Hendrie, Paul Wilkinson, Jan Molby, Craig Hignett. Some of the players I’ve enjoyed watching in a reds shirt that just wouldn’t be considered now under our current vision.
