Norwood also scored the last minute equaliser at Chesterfield, the best team in the league by a country mile
Just different kind of players Cosgrove is a good player but he's a 6 foot 3 targetman with limited pace and mobility
For Cosgroves 3rd goal here you see a quick turn of pace from him to latch onto the ball, a great first touch and lovely finish to win it for them. From this video you see several of his goals which show good pace but also fantastic movement to get him into open space to actually have a shot and score multiple times, plus you see evidence of his aerial ability which nobody was questioning but is a lovely addition to our front line. I'm not sure where the notion that Norwood was quick is from, i'm also not sure where the notion that Norwood is quicker or more agile than Cosgrove is from either.
Lets compare the fifa attributes Cosgrove 58 sprint speed, 51 accleration Norwood 68 sprint speed, 67 accleration
Is this the same FIFA that has Luca Connells interceptions and defensive awareness at 49 and 44? Worse than Benson, Cotter, Oduor and even Sraha? I think that proves how far FIFA stats go on debates like this.
Still not sure what you're basing that on because i can guarantee you haven't watched Cosgrove in that many games and you've never seen Cosgrove running alongside Norwood. Norwood is currently struggling to get into a national league side. He might've been good for us last season but i believe Cosgrove is an upgrade for us and certainly adding a needed different dimension to our attack.
He's not though is he Oldham Fans are obsessed with him And as we know, he makes a very big impact from the bench
On the bench for the last two matches, scored 1 in his last 5 in a league two divisons below the league he was in last season paints a very different picture to the one you're portraying here i'm afraid. Also has as many yellow cards as goals so far this season which won't be helpful when he gets banned because of the accumulation.
Best player at wembley Best player in 4-2 vs swfc best player in 4-1 vs derby Key part in Plymouth and Portsmouth at home We dont even get playoffs without norwood
Unfortunately highlighting another one of Norwoods problems with this post: his fitness and inability to play 90 minutes. Wembley: Came on after 74 minutes Derby: Subbed off Sheff Weds: Subbed off Plymouth: subbed off Portsmouth: subbed off I don't think another season on this will get better, father time is always unbeaten and slows us all down.
