Personally think it's a team we ought to have expected. But also gets minutes in for new arrivals and players who can also push for a start. No grumbles here. Unless we get trashed 4 nil like lol. But we have to get some players up to speed somehow don't we?
Happy with this. A 'weaker' side on paper, but lots of returnees from injury & players given a chance to stake a claim in the first team.
I thought that a certain number had to be in the previous game's matchday squad? Therefore, Killip, de Gevigney, McCart, Chapman, Nejman, Watters, I'm probably wrong.
Gald he's starting Watters, i know he scored saturday but we're still trying to get him up to speed. Another one tonight would be nice..
Someone put rules up yesterday, I'm pretty sure it said in the previous or next game. I may be wrong too?. But I think it's a reasonable team Testament to such as Shepherd, who seems to be classed as 1st team now more early than anyone probably anticipated.
Nice to see McCarthy back and captaining the side. I have a feeling he's going to be good once he's back fully fit. Thought he started last season pretty well until he's unfortunate injury.
One of the criteria I think is how many games a player has started previously (any season). McCarthy, Benson, Cosgrove and Watters will more than likely meet that criteria. Maybe de Gevigney and Killip too.
It was this. I'm guessing the "career" appearances covers a good few slots if only a minimum of 4 have to cover that
Fairly strong team in that you'd expect most of those to feature in league games this season, some may become first choice, but there's a lot of rust that will need brushing off. Wonder why Jalo isn't in the squad. He started a couple of games in this competition last season, scoring twice at Donny.
