This. Tonight was nothing more than youth and fringe players or people needing much needed fitness. If anyone thought we'd put a full strength side out to go for a 6 nowt win was looking to watch the wrong game. Did our keeper have a save to make btw? Professional, nothing fancy and a win. But more importantly than anything, some proper game time for those who haven't had a decent run. Nothing to complain about here
Yep, and I think it did exactly what it was supposed to - it's shown us the progression of the youngsters, fitness for injuries ala Benson & McCarthy and our fringe players, i.e McCart, Dodgson, Lofthouse had a very good game so more confidence if needed in more important games
So at the moment in our Papa's pee pot trophy group... We are TOP of the league, I said we are TOP of the league. Barnsley, pl 1, 3 Pts Man City kids, pl 1, 2 Pts Grimsby, pl 2, 1 Pt Bradford, pl 0
Just seen the highlights on iFollow and two lovely goals there. Cosgrove missed an easy one on one so it should have been 3-0
Cosgrove got the assist for Dodgson bud. I think he had a decent debut, that miss was very poor however
generally you know what kind of player your getting, for example daryl dike had 96 strength out of 99 before he came here, and you can see how cosgrove's aerial prowess is reflected in the attributes
In other news, Cheltenham have now gone 8 games without scoring. They lost 4-1 against Bristol Rovers, their 1 was an own goal.
Of course they count. Any team that goes out wearing our shirt counts for me. The competition or opposition is irrelevant. It’s a BARNSLEY match and if I lived close enough to the town I’d be there for every single one of them.
So these games and the goals scored and conceded in them, don't count. Ohh come on, I know different opinions are one thing, but that's just weird thinking!!. What if Marsh or any of the strikers hit a hat trick, would they not deserve to keep the match ball ?.
If we'd have lost 5 nil, it would certainly have counted then. There would be hell unleashed on here & twitter.
