She has decided that anyone coming here on small boats etc is classed as an illegal immigrant, not an asylum seeker. The UK spends 0.5% of our budget on international aid. The rules on international aid mean you can divert this budget to hosting asylum seekers. The UK currently spends around 1/3 of our international aid budget in the UK on hosting asylum seekers. You can’t use international aid budget on illegal immigrants. Therefore, we will now have to fund hosting illegal immigrants from other areas (ie, the Home Office budget) whilst we send more money abroad. The woman is a genius.
They don’t care mate. They know they are on their way out, so if they can leave a bigger mess as possible for Labour, the better it is for them to recover. Meantime **** the Country and it’s people, the Tories are alright Jack.
It is literally this. Actively sabotaging the country where they think it’s ‘subtle’ enough to get away with it. This mess will take a generation to recover from and I think that even if Labour get in next year, they’ll struggle to stay in five years on. Everything will magically be their fault in each paper and on every channel.
A vindictive, spiteful woman and the darling of the rabid right. She'll be next Tory leader and we should be vey frightened.
I agree with your last point but I think they are doomed if they go down that road and it’s Labour’s best chance of getting a second term.
Only if re elected. Got to hope all those Labour voters who stupidly voted Tory last time reconsider their options. Unfortunately some are too stupid to see sense.
Why should we? Most of our problems come from Westminster and English voters deciding that a Tory vote is best. So Independence to me looks a fantastic option.
I see "Labour led" Birmingham Council have declared bankruptcy. Yeah, Labour have been in power there since May, after the Tories ransacked the city for those years before

It's the current government that provide the central grant. And ever since the Tories have been in (2010 as a reminder) every single council in the country have been obliterated. Something that the Tories have always and will forever do.
Labour-run councils bore the brunt of austerity Percentage change in council spending power, 2010-11 to 2019-20 12 of the 20 worst-hit councils were Labour in 2010 Labour -34.2% Average cut -41.2% Hackney -25.2% Kingston upon Thames Lib Dem -30.7% All 20 of the least-hit councils were Conservative No overall control -30.7% Conservative -24.2% Barnsley is one of the worst hit. The graph shows Tory councils didnt suffer the same fate. I'll try post the link it's much clearer. But what we have to remember is, Barnsley folk overwhelmingly voted for Brexit and threw away funding from the European union and cut our own throats. Wonder how many regret it. in fairness I think latest polling in Scotland shows that there is some acknowledgement that we need the tories out more than independence in. Think Labour /SNP are level(ish) in polls
Big election in Rutherglen/ Hamilton W soon. Fiercely contested by Labour and SNP. Will be very interesting to see how that one turns out.
