Not the greatest manager we've ever had, but so much better than most people on here give him credit for.
Spackman still takes it for me. The amount he spent on players who were useless, injured or both, was bordering criminal negligence.
Was McSeveny manager before Iley? What made him so terrible? I know that the 60's and 70's were a pretty dismal time for BFC in general, so he must have been exceptionally bad to stand out when the bar was already so low!
Spackman for me not only as a coach but putting demands on our board which lets say were unsustainable.
I always feel a bit bad when McSeveney gets mentioned in discussions like this, as he was my niece’s partner’s grandad
always flatters to deceive for me, same pattern, he starts well, then tries getting ‘clever’ starts spouting a load of ******** and twonking about with the team and goes into decline.
McSeveney afoor my time but I’d go; Asbaghi Schopp Morais Spackman Hart Thordeson Machin Wilson MK3 Wilson MK2
We were relegated with such a low points & goals tally. The quality of football was terrible. Despite having the likes of Eric Winstanley, David Booth, Les Lea, Framk Sharp & Ally Millar being available.
