Annoyingly, the play to get us into those positions has been really good. It's as though, as soon as the opposition gets at least 8/9 players back, we lose interest in getting the ball in the box, and go back to the keeper.
England should win comfortably but with the massive drag factor of fanny Annie in charge, Scotland could win for sure.
Missed the build up, did Scotland get presented with their trophy for the glorious 0 0 win in the last Euros?
Would rather someone who plays more than a bit part off the subs bench who then starts for England. Doesn’t make any sense to me.
Wish Southgate would loosen the shackles a little. The tactics are stunting the growth of a talented set of players. Bellingham doesn't look like one of the best players in the world when he's got England tactics to contend with.
Similar to Maguire. Can’t get in a PL side for almost a year, but gets in the National side. Bizarre selections. Defensive approach to every game and selecting on seniority rather than current form.
Annoyingly though as much as we criticise it, Southgate's style has taken us to a World Semi, and a Euro Final, and a World Qtr. The progress in tournaments is definitely there for all to see, but you get the feeling that its still maybe stopping us from actually winning one or some of them.
