Just got an email through advertising hospitality for match this weekend. Decided to look into it and poss book summit. Went on website, no information on pricing, all it kept taking me to was to email in about it. I then went back to start page clicked on tickets and hospitality and it brought up tickets for the carvery. I don't want a chuffing Sunday dinner. I wanted to book tickets for this bloody weekend. The website is crap.
Pricing for the Legends Suite is in the 2023/24 brochure: https://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/siteas.../commercial/matchday-hospitality-23-24-v2.pdf So cheapest option is 1 course at £84 (from £70+VAT), then there's a BBS chorus of "ar much!" The package includes stuff like East Stand car park pass, pre / post match player interviews, Man of Match presentation, programme + team sheet & Barry Murphy meet & greet (but not drinks). There's a reduction for season ticket holders & that'd be confirmed on making the enquiry with the email link through to George (as included in the club Comms).
£84+ each is a lot, but when you look at what you get it isn't that bad. £23 for an adult ticket, £5 for parking, £5 for a program, £20+ for food, etc. It soon adds up. Not saying I'm splashing the cash for it, but as a one-off it could be a lot worse.
It's pretty popular as well and was sold out for most games last season. The food is decent and it's a good craic. It might not be everyone's cup of tea every game, and I'm personally not a fan of watching from behind glass (although you can watch from the half way line on the East Upper I believe) but it's good to try if you are lucky enough to afford it. I'm sure there may be offers from time to time for the less popular games which might be one reason not to put a straight price on the website.
Wife treat me and the kids a few years ago ........ she wasn't overly impressed with the offering but she had misunderstood. So when we got sat down and asked for a menu, she was thinking she had got meals included, but we hadn't. So our price included been taken to a suite with leather seats outside for the game itself. Extra was pukka pies and drinks. It was OK as a one-off ........ wouldn't do it every week. And I believed they have streamlined the offering and made it more clear these days (mine was the Winnall hat-trick 6-1 win v Rochdale).
