    Yep, hence the need for a brand new anthem, really can’t understand folk calling for existing mundane, non-fully inclusive stuff.

    the best national anthem is probably one of he newer ones adapted in 1997 Nkosi Sikelel iAfrica ( God Bless Africa ) South Africa

    I'd get rid, it'll only become less and less representative of the people as the numbers believing in God and supporting the monarchy continue to decline in years to come.

    I don't stand for it or sing it.

    Nah, I mean they are a republic, albeit that's increasingly flawed in recent decades. Not sure what years you're comparing but if you think they should have stuck with their political and economic lot in 1789 then I'm calling you out as le Duc de Clermont-Tonnerre

    It’s not the anthem it’s the way in recent years it’s sung at wrong tempo, wrong melody, singing unnecessary high notes at the end etc. this wasn’t a debate when I was lad or as late as turn of millennium.

    But a new Anthem would be all inclusive, for eg just a couple of lines saying something like understand and respect all faiths and values.
