My daughter's council bungalow is full of damp after much hassle they have agreed to sort it anyway cut to the chase they came Monday and ripped out the whole bathroom saying can you manage without a toilet tonight she agreed it's now Wednesday and still no toilet and it's looking very unlikely to be sorted today. Its contractor doing the works informed the council today to be told a manager will try to ring today. I think this is totally unacceptable and giving until dinner time and I'm going to ring them and say if it's not sorted ( temp toilet ) they will stay in a hotel until it's sorted any advice would be great.
I believe that the landlord has a responsibility to house the tenant in a suitable accommodation. If the current bungalow isn't suitable *and it isn't the tenants fault*, they should house her in alternative accommodation until it is suitable. Not having a toilet for 2 days isn't suitable to live in.
