I think it's just that illness a couple of people mentioned on here previously. Sounds awful. Not even being in training is a big loss for us so can only assume it's a long-term or re-occuring illness he has
Other than an illness (which he has every right to not make public) I don't really know what else it could be mate?
Side 2nd half looked more like. Soz to all them on here who have faith in Russell but al stick with mi usual opinion that he's too lethargic. Agree a experienced defender in Jan and top 6 is possible. for now 4-4-2 with Cole and Cosgrove to start
From missing that 1v1 in play off final? Only kidding obviously. I genuinely have no idea. I don't think he'd be at matches etc if it's a personal/family matter so I can only think it'd be some sort of illness. Hopefully he's back sooner rather than later as he's a joy to watch bud.
I think he'd be fine Russell, I just don't think it works when he & Kane are in the same line up. I think he'd be a lot different with Connell there?
I think the only other thing it could be (and I don't think it is) is a hushed up drug test result. I have no reason to believe this is the case and certainly don't think it is - I see no reason not to accept the illness explanation at face value.
Agree, bud. Styles has to start now, had his best game/cameo for us. Definitely deserves another shot at starting now
Agreed - if it was a failed drug test or whatever, would the club even allow him in the ground on match days? Don't think so.
And fans are pinning a lot of faith in him eventually getting back into the team, and being as good as he was last season.
We couldn’t play 4-4-2. None of the centre backs are good enough in a 3, never mind a 2. I’m not sure about our central midfield to play a 2 there either. The 3-5-2, or slight variance on it, is about right. The problem is the ability of the defenders, not the formation they are selected in. A flat back four with a four in front isn’t as solid as you might think.
