Lazy journalism linking a playing doing well to his former boss. I don't think we'd sell anyone to MLH.
New contract required to at least ensure a good fee should he move. Give him some cash if we are saving summat from Iseka leaving on loan. Stick a decent promotion clause in there to sway his mind along with maybe if he hits 20+ goals this season, a nice extra bonus. Would be a real shame if the club have finally found the player within him and lose him straight away.
We've no chance. As I expected and mentioned he's already being linked to basketcase struggling clubs. Being offered 20k a week next summer with no fee involved looks very likely for him, if not in January. Even if we got promoted nobody would even be getting half that amount.
I'm not fussed. I think how badly we're playing is making him look better than he is. As is lack of credible strike partner. He's doing well mind.
Devante hasn't had a great career, he's 28, 29 next May.. If he keeps scoring like he as been this season..a lot of of championship clubs will want him. It's his big/last chance for a decent move, money wise. And would be extremely beneficial in his favour to be on a free.. He may do very nicely thank you, to be a free agent in the summer.. Any adviser would surely at his age be telling him to walk next June.
The wheel keeps turning mate.. in pops Marshy to fill the void.. Not Jalo as l expect him to be sold on
Be just like us to carry a struggling striker with a chunky wage and a slim goal return for 5 years - then lose him for 500k as soon as he becomes a 20 goal a season striker cos we haven't offered him a new contract.
Well for someone who hasn't really settled anywhere and hit form like Cole, that would have to be in his thinking. Do I risk moving to another team, play a new style that doesn't end up suiting me and 2 years down the line, back on the verge of non league footy.
