    When football was proper we used to beat their first team.

    From 1982 to 2000 I saw us beat them 6 times, lose to them 4 times, and draw 4 times. We were pretty even but we had the edge. Two proper clubs, plenty of great games that will live in my memory for as long as I've got one.

    Since then we've played 4 games, lost them all, conceded 20 and scored 2. I can barely remember a thing about any of them. I don't imagine any Man City fans do either. Someone pumped a load of money into them and made it all pointless.

    Maine road could be scary on occasion. Remember going past the terraced houses in Moss Side, ( for you young uns if not aware, has a terrible history of crime and violence) with glass concreted in to top of walls akin to the west stand perimeter wall.
    Stood on the terrace squashed like sardines. All of a sudden fight breaks out and a space opened up for em to kick fekk out of one another.
    Running battles in the car park.
    Good old days :confused::eek:

    Yes mate. Maine Road could be a scary place back in the 80s. Many a running battle took place in that car park when coming out after games.

    Crikey mate. If someone punched down onto your head he must’ve been one big lad!
