Hardly awful. Good steady player imo.
Mitch Ward Never reached his best with Barnsley. Didn't he have mental issues with his game.

He was poor, no pace and never passed forward. Always ran like he was running backwards on a treadmill

****, it was a bad time to be a Barnsley fan with a few very poor squads.

I think he was ok, but to be honest, I'm struggling to remember anything about his time at Oakwell :(

Proper steady Eddie. Not great, certainly not bad. Did a job.

No he was terrible. You may be misremembering because he looked competent compared to some of the dross he played alongside, Kevin Donovan, Gary Jones etc. We signed Chris Lumsdon just because he looked half decent in comparison.

After being.signed John Dennis said "he would set this league on alight"

Caller to Radio Sheffield " He couldnt set Locke Park bonfire alight with a flame thrower at point blank range"

Lumsden was a one game wonder and couldn't lace Neil's boots , I remember that, if not much else

Lumsdon was the fan's player of the season in 01-02. That's how bad they all were.

I seem to remember Lumsdon being brilliant on loan and crap when we signed him permanent
