TBF, Stockholm is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe - if not the world - in a country that has one of the highest standards of living. As a CEO, he would be in position to really enjoy it - far more than you ever could living in Barnsley
Give me Yorkshire over Stockholm any day. Wasn't particularly bowled over by Stockholm or Oslo, but some of that could have been the wallet pain when buying even the most mundane of things! It's probably not so bad when you're on a Scandinavian salary, plus literally everywhere else you visit feels cheap in comparison. From a footballing point of view though, it would definitely feel like a step down.
He was part of a group that was blamed by the owner for the 20+ players they signed the summer they got promoted.
I also didn't rate Oslo. I can't remember much about it tbf - but we didn't have time to go to Bergen and ended up in a little village with a statue to Amundsen. My view of Stockholm was probably uplifted by the 36C weather and the couple of office girls sunbathing topless on a piece of grass in the city centre...
I'd be gutted if Khalid left.He took over to sort out a stream of off field problems and despite critisism he stuck to his task and if he does leave he's leaving us in a far better state than when he came. I think Khalid has more support from the fan base than some who try and ridicule on social media. Stay with us Khalid and see the work you've started finish with at least getting back to the Championship and for the first time in years financially secure.
Depends on your priorities. If it’s career progression I believe he has a better chance of that staying with us, doing a good job, and getting noticed by a big English club.
I've always considered CEOs to be fairly replaceable, if the right due diligence is done and there is a proper exit policy. The situation with Dane was shambolic, and we've also seen what bad appointments look like, e.g. Linton Brown. If Khaled goes, he goes. He hasn't been exceptional IMO. My worry is that the Club simply allow him to leave without having a replacement lined up and a proper handover. CEOs don't tend to hang around anywhere for too long though, in any industry. I'd like to think the Club has a plan for this.
I may be wrong here but wasn't Gauthier the guy that ****** up the Angus MacDonald to Hull transfer (costing the club significant money) or it was certainly on his watch and yet he got a free ride in comparison to Khaled who is jumped on at every opportunity. Wouldn't' mind having Dane back but definitely not Gauthier.
Don't get that..Dane did a good job, his previous CEO.. The only difference is that Conway isn't in the picture, so really Khalid as had more re freedom than Dane ever had..
Nancy and Oostende fans have very little good to say about him, at least not if my Google Translate is working properly. I'm guessing that they associate him strongly with PMG and all connected debacles.
Erm whilst we are all for back slapping he’s probably overseen one of the worst hand over processes to an outsourced company I can ever recall when it comes to merchandise I ordered a Gk on the 29th June this year and still to this very day I don’t know when it will arrive despite it originally meant to be delivered on 5th Aug this year. Yet not one bit of communication from the club on the issue.
Gauthier's continued association with Conway and Lee definitely rules him out for me. Someone willing to continue to work for those two charlatans has significant character concerns.
