High five POR. That was a hell of a run. I think I saw every game of it. Also remember a guy at work saying the season was over after an early defeat to Gillingham or Pompey or someone like that. You can't win every game playing like Barcelona.
It must kill the Collins hater’s on here with us winning on a regular basis and being third in the league although you get the feeling they are ready to pounce at just the smallest sign of poor performance. Not playing particularly well but winning games is one of the best habits a team can have and having match changing players on the bench will only make us better and harder to beat.
Post of the day for me Helen, a proper way to get a dig in by aiming it at our suffering rivals rather than fellow fans who might have a different opinion.
Why would you think that? Just daft really. Most people see the home games. We have been abject at home. I’m in neither camp myself but can understand the pros and cons
I saw a fair few of the away games being Salisbury-based at that time. Enjoyed my trips to Exeter, Plymouth, Pompey and the like. Away days were a pleasure that season.
Personally, I believe there's much more to come from this squad. Certain individuals haven't yet shown what heights they're capable of reaching this term for various reasons (Cosgrove, Phillips, Connell). Some football has been brilliant, some less so. But I'm confident we're in for a decent season.
Don’t think that i know that but anyway we are third after losing 10 million quids worth of defenders and missing our most influential midfielder so onwards and upwards I’m sure the home form will turn.
I saw King Ronnie in town yesterday, he was walking up New Street…well I say walking, it was more of a glide, I swear he was about 3 inches off the ground,
There aren't Collins haters. There are only those with different, sometimes excessive, solutions to BFC footballing problems that each of us perceive differently. I thought we were great midweek but mediocre today. Other conclusions are available and equally as valid.
Totally agree and said it before the season started that we've got some quality players for this division. Tactics and team shape seem to be improving and getting ingrained and like you say there's plenty more to come from our players so no reason why it can't be a great season.
My only concern and it’s a carry on from last season is when we go behind have we got the change in mindset and formation that can drag us back into games from losing positions on a regular basis.
That's a fair point and strange considering the quality we have that we've never found an answer, hopefully we force ourselves on to teams and don't have to come from behind too many times. (Stay out of it Mr Dawson )
