Going like a steam train, both took 3 points at oakwell, will they be this seasons Plymouth & Ipswich grinding out results week in week out. Seen it on another thread we are 2pts better off than same stage last season. Could we end up being this seasons wendies 90+ pts with a play off place. Probably too early yet, be interesting to see how pompey react when their unbeaten run ends, we did'nt do ourselves any justice in either game only playing something like when it was too late.
Oxford won’t sustain the levels they’re at now for the entire season, they’ll drop off…. Mark my words.
Only takes 2 or 3 games for it to look completely different. I'm very confident. Especially after seeing Connell back in training!
IMO we’ll need to improve a lot, to finish top two. I guess the good news is there’s so much room for improvement. Whether we make those improvements remains to be seen
My 'biggest' issue so far (in my humble peasant opinion) is Collins makes his subs too late. At half time subs should have been made today, in particular Watters. Same with quite a few games already this season imo
We're only 4 points worse off at home. That's a good stat. Duff struggled to find his best 11 to start with. We clicked into gear around now as it happens.
As soon as we start to actually look like a football team at Oakwell we'll win this league by a mile. Odd innit.
Last seasons points tally takes us up automatically this season in my opinion. I think the general level is around the same but we’re slightly weaker & there’s no one as good as last seasons top 3.
Last season was freaky with 3 teams with or near to 100pts don't think we will need that this season. Where we will finish I've no idea not a clue we won't finish lower than 10th because there's some proper rubbish in this league. The away form is brilliant if we can find away to play at home and get Connell fit anything possible.
